Donation of solar energy generators to the Sodegaura Neighborhood Council in Japan is developed within the framework of the X-ELIO Sustainable Communities Program, it aims to create a connection with the community and serve as an instrument of social development in this market.

Madrid Spain.- X-ELIO has recently completed its first action within the Sustainable Communities Program in Sodegaura, Japan.

The company will support the Sodegaura Neighborhood Board with the donation of three solar power generators to help the region cope with power cuts that occur due to weather irregularities in the area, such as earthquakes, heavy rains or complications with the wind.

For this reason, the Country Manager of X-ELIO in Japan, Toshiaki Isoi, and the X-ELIO team in Japan visited Sodegaura to meet with the association and the neighbors. The community will now be able to meet its electricity needs with sustainable energy without worrying about external natural phenomena.

This agreement is part of the company’s Sustainable Communities Program, which includes regional and local actions aimed at promoting the pillars of this initiative: environment, education, communities and health. Through this collaboration, the company intends to create a connection with the community and serve as a tool for social development in this market, as it has done continuously in all the regions in which it operates.

This action is added to the company’s Sodegaura project. A 16 MW solar photovoltaic plant being built in Chiba Prefecture, Japan; whose connection to the grid is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2022 and is expected to provide more than 19 GWh of renewable energy per year, offsetting more than 9,400 tons of CO2 emissions.
