(20-5-2022). 50 years have passed since Rossignol made his first skis. Since then, the brand has gone from producing 515 pairs of skis with 120 people on staff to the current 3,700 pairs per day and 400 workers.

On May 9, 1972, the first pair of skis (some Rossignol Cobra) left the new Rossignol factory located in the town of Artés, near Barcelona. If in 1972 the daily production was 515 pairs of skis with a workforce of 120 people, 50 years later, there are 3,700 pairs of skis leaving the production lines every day, with a human team of 400 people, reports Regio7.

In these 50 years, 20 million pairs of skis have been produced at the Artés factory.

The Rossignol Group has experienced significant growth both in its main historical business, winter sports equipment (+33%), as well as in the Apparel (+46%) and bicycle sections, a symbol of the diversification strategy and presence in the mountains during the 4 seasons of the year.

The Rossignol Artés factory, which works with renewable electricity, has the ISO 9001 quality certificate, the ISO 14001 certificate for the environment and ISO 45000 for the prevention of occupational risks.
