If the second round of the presidential elections were held today in France, Macron would win Le Pen by 53% to 47% of the vote, according to the latest Harris Institute poll.

The extreme right has never been so close to the Elysée Palace. Emmanuel Macron, candidate for La República en Marcha, defeated Marine Le Pen at the polls in 2017 by 66.10% of the vote, compared to 33.9% support for the far-right. This time his margin of victory is narrower.
