The organizing committee of the Piscina & Wellness Barcelona has held its first meeting in which the roadmap and the main objectives to be met for the next edition in November 2023 have been set.
(22-4-2022). The Barcelona pool and wellness show begins preparations for its 2023 edition, which will seek to broaden the focus on the wellness, professional services and outdoor segments.
Piscina & Wellness Barcelona is already preparing its next edition, which will be held from November 27 to 30, 2023.
An appointment in which the organizing committee is already working, which has held its first meeting, in which three main objectives have been defined. On the one hand, to grow in size and representativeness of companies, especially in the wellness, professional services and outdoor living segments. As well as increasing the internationality of exhibitors and visitors; and contribute to accelerating innovation and sustainability in the sector.
To this end, the fair has set up four work commissions on public swimming pools, residential swimming pools, wellness and outdoor pools, which include thirty representatives from companies and entities related to supply and demand sectors. These groups have the mission of identifying the concerns of the market in each area, finding synergies and connections with new professional profiles of interest, and recommending sectors on offer, themes, and activities to include in the fair to respond to the needs detected.

Piscina & Wellness Barcelona faces its 2023 call with good prospects, after the general satisfaction of its last appointment held in December 2021, which facilitated the face-to-face reunion of the international sector in the midst of the pandemic, generated purchase orders, and showed the novelties from the sector of 208 exhibitors and more than 350 brands to 10,537 visitors.
The loyalty and confidence of the exhibitors in the effectiveness of Piscina & Wellness Barcelona as a commercial and internationalization platform is demonstrated in the first contracting figures for 2023 presented at the first meeting of the organizing committee: 6,000m2 reserved in a single four-month period.
The director of the show, Ángel Celorrio, assures: “we are designing, hand in hand with the sector itself, a powerful edition that will exceed pre-pandemic records with the aim of bringing together the largest and most representative commercial offer in the pool, spa product value chain and outdoor and thereby attract the best national and international demand”.
The Pool and Wellness Forum returns to face-to-face
As a prelude to the 2023 edition, the fair’s organizing committee together with the ASOFAP employers’ association are working on the program and contents of the next Pool & Wellness Forum, which returns to its face-to-face format and will take place from November 3 to 4, 2022 in the Official College of Architects of Madrid (COAM).
The objective of this training and networking event, which is held every other year to the Barcelona fair, is to provide a new space for relationships to find out about trends, solutions, technologies and new applications for swimming pools and wellness, as well as to reflect on the framework regulations, the economic context, professional qualifications and other current issues that impact the activity of companies in the sector.
The organizing committee of Piscina & Wellness Barcelona, headed by the executive president of Fluidra, Eloi Planes, is made up of 24 members, including businessmen and executives from leading international firms. In this edition, Matthieu Selva from Pentair and Francesc Redolad from ATH – BWT are incorporated. In this way, the main companies in the swimming pool and wellness sector support and help configure the contents of the Barcelona event. The list of represented companies is completed: Fluidra (Miguel Mesías and Martí Giralt), Hayward (Fernando Blasco), SCP (Salvador Mauri), Espa (Pere Giribets), Grupo QP (Victor Martínez and Joaquín Vallespín), Piscinas Condal (Alejandro Morillo) , Action Park Waterscapes (Alfonso Ribarrocha) and Rosa Gres (Marcel lí Sugrañes).
Also playing a relevant role are the employers’ association ASOFAP, with which Piscina & Wellness Barcelona recently renewed its collaboration agreement until 2029, as well as directors of ICEX Spain Export and Investment (José Ignacio Pradas Poveda); of the Generalitat of Catalonia (Montserrat Vilalta); and Fira de Barcelona, organizer of the biennial event.
