On Running Intl grows 68% in the first quarter

As well as net income of 14.3 million Swiss francs and an Ebitda of 15.7 million Swiss francs.

By segment, direct sales to consumers have increased in these first three months of the year by 68% to 83.4 million Swiss francs. While sales through the wholesale channel have also improved by 67.8% to 152.3 million Swiss francs, compared to the same period of the previous year.

Footwear continues to be the main driver of the company’s sales, which in this first quarter reached 225.5 million Swiss francs (+69%). For its part, textiles have grown by 44.9% to 11.4 million Swiss francs, while accessories have experienced strong demand with an increase of 111.8% to 1.8 million.

North America continues to be the main market for On Running, where it grew by 86.5% in the first quarter to 138.4 million Swiss francs. It is followed by the European market with sales of 74.9 million Swiss francs (+31.3%), while in the Asia-Pacific region, the brand has seen an improvement in sales of 125.9% up to 16.4 million.

Following these results, the company raises its forecasts for 2022 as a whole, despite the challenge posed by delays in the supply chain and which have led the company to opt for air as a method of transport, which increases its bills.

At the product level, the brand values ​​the positive reception that its biggest launch this year, the new Cloud 5, has received in the market, in its commitment to sustainability, since it has 44% recycled materials in its composition.
