Myzone has been chosen as application of the year in the FIT Summit of Excellence awards
(1-7-2022) Myzone has been awarded as the application of the year at the FIT Summit Awards of Excellence, at a gala held in Singapore in front of the leaders of the fitness industry from around the world.
Myzone gains worldwide prestige after being recognized at The FIT Summit World Health, Fitness & Wellness Festival, the networking space for health, fitness and wellness businesses with a global reach and a special focus on the Asia-Pacific region. It represents different pillars of the industry, who discuss market trends, industry challenges, investment perspectives and new business opportunities.
“We are on an ongoing journey to make products that get more people moving,” said Leon Rudge, global head of product at Myzone. “There has been a lot of work on the evolution of the app, the club software and the accompanying hardware, recognition like this cements our belief in leading the way for engaging experiences using innovative technology,” he added.
This 2022, Myzone redesigned the interface of its application to improve the possibility that its users can do individual or group exercises with data in real time. Operators, for their part, can benefit from the club’s branded application and open apps.
FOR THE POSITIVE IMPACT ON THE CONSUMER
In the app of the year category, participants from any fitness, wellness or lifestyle discipline competed, including those focused on B2C and B2B. The award was based on an app’s positive impact on the consumer and/or industry; strength and depth of content; functionality and responsiveness of the design; new growth in Asia-Pacific and growth opportunities in the same area; and the potential impact of future itineraries.
The judging panel was made up of some of the top executives in the fitness industry in the Asia-Pacific region. “We are facing a consumer who now exercises in a different way than he did before the pandemic. Our data shows that before the pandemic, Myzone users trained 60% of the time in the gym and 40% outside of it.
“That ratio has been reversed for now and shows no signs of ever returning to its original shape. We will try to evolve to support clubs that want to create competitive advantage with their member community, member outcomes, and an omnichannel offering that engages users,” said Emmett Williams, CEO of Myzone in APAC.
Before this award, Myzone had already won other awards such as the FIBO Award for Innovation and Trend in the Health and Prevention category by the MZ-Switch. Myzone is a fitness app that rewards the effort of its users through games and social elements that encourage community building.
