Indescat requests more than 300,000 euros in aid for innovation projects

The sports industry cluster in Catalonia, Indescat, presents two innovative projects and will be present in two more, in the first call for aid this year from the Mincorut for Innovative Business Groups. It will have the involvement of a total of 13 companies and five clusters (three Catalans and two from the rest of the State).

The sports industry cluster Indescat has advised and accompanied the participating companies and entities in the preparation, drafting and application of two sports industry projects and has collaborated on two proposals of interest to the sector, presented by other clusters. The two projects led by Indescat in the first call for aid this year from the Mincotur have a total budget of more than 252,000 euros and funding of 146,000 euros is requested.

Innovational projects

Touchless Lockers for Fitness (TT4F) is an experimental development project promoted by three companies, the furniture cluster of Murcia, Amuebla, and Indescat. Its purpose is the development of an intelligent contactless locker for changing rooms in sports facilities and for sporting events (adaptable to other sectors) that will guarantee its inviolability, sanitation, traceability and management to offer a better service to users -athletes- and sports facilities.

For its part, Phade – Phigitalization All-in-one of Sport-, is a project born from the irruption and proliferation of digital platforms for physical exercise prescription considered a threat by some fitness centers. It is promoted by three member companies of Indescat, the cluster itself, and the Digital Cluster of Catalonia. Phade aims to design and develop the implementation of a digital thinking model in sports and health centers in order to create new services or improve existing ones. All this from the integration of existing digital tools: digital channel ott, web, app, sports center management programs and social networks; and based on parameters established by experts for the digitization of sports centers.

In addition to the presentation of two innovative projects, this year, Indescat will be present in two more, which add up to a total budget of more than 242,000 euros and grants worth almost 160,000 euros are requested.

On the one hand, the e-Running industrial research project: Artificial intelligence for collaborative demand forecasting of sports footwear, presented by three companies, the Aragon Health Cluster Association (Arahealth), in addition to Indescat. Its purpose is to develop a demand forecasting tool based on the use of artificial intelligence techniques for the individualized recommendation of a model of sports shoes among the thousands existing on the market for each runner consumer profile, according to their needs and needs. biomechanical features.

Finally, FIT-PATH: Digital tool (app & web) for monitoring treatments through exercise and sport – promoted by three companies and the Mental Health Cluster of Catalonia, in addition to the Catalan cluster – is a digital tool that improves intervention therapy of multidisciplinary teams that work with people with disorders/pathologies of Mental Health and addictions. This tool allows evaluating, measuring and adapting the therapeutic sessions of exercise and sport that are provided to users and patients, in order to increase and improve approaches and the recovery or remission of symptoms.
