Microsoft intends to add the ability to add stickers on windows 11 screen. It is available in Windows 11, version 22H2 Build 22621, although it is hidden for now. Surely in the future this function will be enabled; but let’s not worry, because we can enable it without any problem, although we must add an entry in the registry.
Enable stickers on the Windows 11 screen
Before adding the stickers, we will have to enable them to be able to add them on the Windows 11 screen. For this we are going to press Windows + R and type regedit, press Enter and open the Registry Editor.
Next, through the left sidebar, we will have to navigate to the following path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/PolicyManager/current/device
We will right click on Device and choose New > Key. The name that we will assign will be “Stickers” and we create the key. Once it is created, we will have to right-click on an empty space in the panel on the right and choose New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.
We’ll need to change the newly added value to EnableStickers. Then we right click and choose properties to assign “1” to the value information. Click on OK and restart or turn off the computer for the changes to take effect.
If later we want to disable the stickers option, we will repeat the process only that “EnableStickers” must have the value “0”.
Add, edit and delete stickers on the screen
One thing we need to add is that the “Add Label” button will not work if we set the operating system desktop background as slides. So we will have to change the wallpaper only as an image.
We right click anywhere on the screen and choose Add or edit stickers.
We can also press Windows + i to open Settings, from here we go to Personalization> Background> Add Stickers. Now Windows will open the stickers or stickers editor, we can scroll to select the stickers that appear in the list, we can also search for them.
When we select the one we want to add, we can change its position, size and name on the screen. In case we want to remove a sticker, we are simply going to have to click on it and click on the trash can icon at the bottom. If we want to exit the editor, we simply press the X at the top of the screen.
