(28-2-2022) Fluidra closes a record year, in which it manages to increase its sales by 47%, which allows the swimming pool giant to end 2021 with revenues of 2,187 million and profits of 252 million.

Fluidra, a leading global pool and wellness equipment company, closed 2021 with the best results in its history. The brand achieved 47% more sales than in 2020, up to 2,187 million, thanks mainly to the boost in demand for residential swimming pools and M&A, which contributed around 11%, as reported by the company in a statement published in the Marf.

The company’s net profit reached 252 million euros, 162% more than in 2020, while the net cash benefit stood at 337 million, more than double that of 2020.

Cash generation allowed the debt ratio to remain below 2x despite significant M&A operations and a higher dividend of 0.40 euros per share for 2021 (90% above 2020).

“These are excellent results that confirm the step change in the industry, with continued solid growth in all regions in the fourth quarter, which is added to the strong growth of the second half of 2020”, indicates the executive president of Fluidra, Eloi Planes .

The geographical area where Fluidra achieved the greatest percentage growth was North America: 81%. Behind was southern Europe (31%) and the rest of Europe (33%). The growth recorded in the rest of the world was 22%.

At the business unit level, the one that grew the most was the residential pool (55%). Commercial swimming pool grew by 23%; the fluid conduction business, 32%, and the water treatment business, 27%.

The company expects to increase its sales this 2022 between 12% and 17%, placing the EBITDA margin above 25.5%. The company also expects an increase in net cash earnings per share of between 10% and 16%.
