Escapa lands in Madrid with a 3,000 square meter store



FIFTH STORE. With the opening in Madrid, the Escapa brand-label now has five stores in Spain, located in Sabadell, Girona, Barcelona (2) and Madrid.

(4-8-2022). Escape has just opened its first store in Madrid. With an area of ​​3,000 square metres, it is the largest specialized cycling establishment in the Community of Madrid. The brand, encompassed within the Quadis automotive group, thus reaches five stores in Spain, adding a total area of ​​8,000 square meters.

The Escapa chain of bicycle shops has just opened its first establishment in Madrid. The debut of the banner owned by the Quadis automotive group does so with a 3,000 square meter store, which makes it the largest offline point of sale specialized in cycling in the State capital, as well as in the Community of Madrid.

The surface of the brand new store includes, in addition to an exhibition space with 180 models, a workshop and a parking area with 25 free spaces for customers. The new store is located in the north of Madrid, very close to the Cuatro Torres, specifically at number 15 Avenida del Llano Castellano, a strategic enclave due to its easy access to the area and because it is a meeting point for cyclists by its proximity to the bike lanes and the Green Cycling Ring of Madrid.


The new space has a unique design and an interior circuit designed to be able to go through the different specific sections depending on the type of bicycle.

Escapa has opted for a sustainable design, whose materials, among which wood predominates, are totally respectful of the environment.

The façade of the store has large openings in the shape of a bicycle wheel, and a main entrance that is also spherical.

The store will also offer multiple complementary services, such as personalized deliveries, physiotherapy services, biomechanical studies or advice on routes and trips, among others, which will make it a recreational and experiential cycling center. In addition to optimizing the physical store service, it will also improve the web service to offer customers the best omnichannel offer.

The brand new Escapa point of sale in Madrid aims to become a recreational and experiential center of cycling.


The opening of the Madrid store is led by Jesús Garcia, one of the benchmarks in the sector after more than 30 years dedicated to the world of cycling. García explained that this new store “is positioned as a great temple for lovers of the bike world in Madrid”, and pointed out “there has never been a proposal of this size and quality in the city, which brings together all the values ​​of cycling lovers”.

Escapa has established itself in recent years as the leading operator of the Spanish cycling distribution hand in hand with Quadis, both in terms of commercial area and units sold. During 2021 Escape sold more than 15,000 bicycles.


The company already has points of sale in Sabadell, Girona and Barcelona (2), which add up to a total of 8,000 m2 of space designed to offer the best product and service to its customers. A stock of more than 1,000 bicycles and these five stores consolidate the group as the main cycling operator at a national level.

The company is currently in an expansion phase and anticipates new openings in the coming months.
