The meeting addressed the current state of oil prices and how it has been affected by Russia’s war in Ukraine.

Santiago de Chile.- The Minister of Energy, Claudio Huepe, paid a visit to ENAP’s Headquarters on Tuesday the 15th on the occasion of his recent ascension to the position. The members of the company’s Board of Directors, headed by Fernando Massú, and the general manager (I), Julio Aranis, participated in the meeting.

“We suggested to Minister Huepe that ENAP is prepared to move forward with the development of new energies, but without neglecting its commitment to guarantee the supply of fuel for the country, as it did in the most critical moments of the pandemic,” said Fernando. Massu, Chairman of the Board.

At the meeting, there was also a presentation regarding the various renewable energy projects in which ENAP participates, as well as those that are in the process of analysis and development. Likewise, the representatives of the company presented to the minister the challenges that are envisaged for this year, such as the development and importance of Green Hydrogen and the major maintenance of the Bío Bío Refinery.

The meeting also addressed the current state of the oil price and how it has been affected by the conflict in Ukraine, “an opportunity in which we emphasize our commitment to continue being a strategic company for the national supply of hydrocarbons,” said Julio Aranis
